As our industry tries to adjust to this global pandemic, nearly everyone’s job role has been affected. We know that some of you have had recent changes in your employment through layoffs, reduced hours and furloughs.
WHCM would like to provide its members with assistance during these times for anyone whose job has been impacted by COVID-19. We have partnered with fellow member Kaylee Davis of the Addison Group to offer private resume and interview consultations so that our members can get back on their feet as quickly as possible.
What: 30 minute 1 on 1 video consultation with a healthcare recruiter for:
- Resume review and editing
- Interviewing tips and tricks
When: April 13- May 15.
We are proud to support our members in this small way.
WHCM and Massachusetts/Rhode Island Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) are co-sponsoring this event geared to students. We especially encourage attendance by WHCM members who have an interest in meeting and providing guidance to young professionals as they prepare to enter the job market. We’d like students to meet fellow women who can talk about the segment of healthcare in which they work.
Join us for a buffet dinner, an educational presentation and a chance to network.
Our presentation, with an opportunity for audience questions, will be given by two women in different arenas of healthcare, offering tips and info on how to make your connections count and advance your career.

Remember the days when you visited the doctor when sick, picked up your medication at the local pharmacy, and had few out-of-pocket expenses?
Today, we’re self-diagnosing via online tools, tracking our heart rates and steps, and using message portals to contact clinician. In short, we’re engaging more and the healthcare industry increasingly wants consumers to:
- Understand costs & choose the right source of care;
- Monitor physical activity & diet;
- Utilize self-service tools; and
- Engage with a care manager at their provider or health plan.
How is this reality shaping the healthcare industry? Key questions we’ll explore in this panel discussion:
- How are payers & providers shifting practices to engage consumers?
- What consumer needs are start-ups fulfilling?
- How are employers supporting consumers?
- What role does government play in supporting increased consumer engagement?
